I know what I want for xmas!

Nokia is about to release an Internet tablet that uses the BusyBox Linux. Sweet!

It’s the 770.

What makes this so special is the fact that the device has an 800×480 screen, 220 MHz TI OMAP ARM processor (with DSP), 64M of RAM, 128M of flash, USB port, 802.11b/g wireless, Bluetooth, IR, and a MMC slot.

The best part… A nice looking portable SSH terminal!

If this will sync with Microsoft Outlook I’m buying one ASAP!

Funny how you love the fact that it runs Linux, yet you insist on it syncing with a Windows-only system šŸ™‚ But its by Nokia, so I would suspect the answer to be “Yes”.

Heck, even if it could sync via bluetooth/infrared to your Nokia 6230b, then sync THAT to Outlook it might be of value šŸ™‚

Ha ha ha… Yeah well. When your employer forces you to use Windoze, because the IT dept doesn’t want to support Linux, what can you do?

It won’t sync. There’s no Calendar feature! It will check IMAP mail though…

Even with out the calendar, it looks like a solid choice.

My girlfriend sees it as the first hover car, right Homer?

    works great!!!!

  • Durrr…. 7 days after you wrote the “works great!!!!” comment, trying to figure out why you wrote that with no insightful comments, I realized the simple obvious truth: You were writing that on the 770.

    Awesome!
